Sub Zero Increase Waste Recycling At Factory

May 13th, 2011

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint Through Recycling

In the past, all of our waste produced from our factory and offices were picked up by a contractor to be sent to landfill sites in the UK. In November 2009 we introduced a waste management system to reduce our carbon footprint. One of our first tasks was to reduce the amount of waste we sent to landfill sites. In 2010 we recycled over 2 tonnes of cardboard, paper and plastic waste from within our factory and offices. This has reduced our waste bin collections from once a week to once a month. The savings made from this recycling scheme will allow us to increase our investment in other environmentally friendly practices within our factory.

New Environmentally Friendly Packaging From Sub Zero

May 8th, 2011

Card Carton System

Over the past 2 years we have been updating our Sub Zero packaging from the plastic bag hanging system to the more environmentally friendly recyclable card carton system. Since our Sub Zero logo update last year we have gradually been replacing the old card sleeves and boxes with new designs. This is an on-going process and all designs should be updated by Autumn 2011. We have also updated our accessories packaging. All gloves, balaclavas, over-socks, neck warmers, gloves and hats will now come in the new Sub Zero cardboard Euro hook  sleeve.

Re-launch of Sub Zero Website

February 28th, 2011

Welcome to the news pages for the relaunched Sub Zero website.  Over the past 6 months  we have been  developing the new site, taking feedback from both our customers and our retailers/distributors, to produce a website that is both informative and interactive. New features that we have integrated include the social networking sites Twitter and Facebook; Flickr will hold our image bank, both historical and current; YouTube will host a range of videos showing how are products and fabrics are manufactured; A Google Maps based programme will help you locate your nearest Sub Zero stockist anywhere in the world.

The new trade login for the site will enable our retailers and distributors to order online, produce a quote, access current price lists, order POS material, add retailer information to our stockist database, and check stock levels and production schedules. This application is not yet live but we are working hard to get it completed in the next couple of months.

Sub Zero.co.uk also holds a lot more information on our product ranges and will be continually updated once new products are available. For an example of a product page please click here.

Instead of printing a product catalogue every year, we have decided that we will now only produce an e-catalogue. This can be downloaded off our site and has a number of benefits: It is environmentally friendly, it can be constantly updated, and it can be emailed to friends and family.
